Where are you from and where is your base?
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, however I left that city when I was ten and moved about the country with my family. Living on the West Coast and the southern states. Right now I'm based out of NYC but, lived to many places to rep one spot. I'm hooked on Tokyo and NYC.
What kind of personal and institutional training have you had to become an Artist?
None. However I have taken some art classes at several schools. I would say that most of my training and development came from other Artist around me. I would learn by watching them in action and seeing how they shaded an object, or how the made something flat pop just by use of color. To this day I still learn lessons from my peers. Education never stops.
Inspiration behind your work?
Graffiti, cartoons from the 80's, women, kids, tattoos, ukiyoe prints, life in America. I gather inspiration from anything especially the web, endless resources.
Applications and media?
When working on canvas or large scale projects I work wth acrylics. When I'm drawing and working on digital illustrations I start with a pencil sketch and go from there adding whatever it takes to bring the vision to life.
Where has your creative journey taken you so far?
Everywhere! I made up my mind at seventeen to become a full time working artist and since then I exceed that goal and crushed a few others. Along the journey I had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most talented and creative people I could of imagined and learning in the process.
